On 17 May 2025, the Europe-China Health Outcomes and Research Association (ECHORA) held a successful in-person networking event in London, bringing together over 40 participants from across the UK—including London, Oxford, Birmingham, York, Reading, and Leicester—as well as guests from the Netherlands and Hong Kong SAR.

This was a vibrant exchange of ideas, experiences, and community spirit, and a key step in ECHORA’s journey toward international collaboration and professional growth.

The event was chaired by Mr Kang Wang (King’s College London), and opened by Dr Huajie Jin, ECHORA President (European), who reviewed the association’s progress since its founding in October 2024. ECHORA now includes over 1,400 followers and 800 members, with six active working groups and growing visibility at major academic events.

Dr Shanquan Chen (LSHTM), ECHORA Vice President (European), shared the association’s strategic priorities—including expanding focus beyond HTA, strengthening China-Europe cooperation, enhancing communications, and exploring new partnerships.

Leaders from various volunteer teams provided brief updates and acknowledged outstanding contributors. Participants then introduced themselves using “three keywords” and shared personal journeys across fields such as HTA, health policy, modelling, pharmacoeconomics, and AI in healthcare.

The event concluded with lively networking, reinforcing ECHORA’s mission to connect and support emerging voices in health economics and policy.

We thank all attendees for their warm participation, and look forward to hosting more opportunities for exchange, learning, and collaboration.
